Even with our humble beginings as a small time ganking guild, Clan Sverker was founded and continues to operate to this day under our four Founding Ideals (our Code of Conduct). Every member is expected to follow these ideals, for the good and the success of the community, for our faction/realm and for themselves. In a time where trolling and immaturity is the norm, we will not stoop to the low standards of modern gamers. Breaches of any of these rules will be dealt with by the Mormaer and Lawspeakers.

1. Respect & Maturity
We all play these games to have fun, and to be the best as we can, but that doesn't mean that gives you the right to troll, act hostile or be disrespectful to other players and especially toward other guild members and members of allied guilds. If you want to act like a 5 year old, you don't belong here. Each of the following rules are expected to be followed in-game, on our website and in Teamspeak.
Behavior towards players within the CS community.
If an issue arises with a fellow member, consult an officer. DO NOT take the matter into your own hands in the heat of the moment. Take a step back and think.
Don't let the issues fester within yourself, if you're able to, try talking it out with the other person. If you feel you cannot, consult an officer to get a mediator. Drama can normally be avoided by communication and talking it our, as in most instances drama is rooted in simple misunderstandings.
Racial slurs, insults based on age, sex, gender, sexual orientations are not welcome here.
Drama is bound to happen, but don't make it a public affair.
Discussions of politics and religion are permitted. However, caution is urged while discussing these topics. If the involved parties are unable to act with respect toward one another, both parties will be punished.
Respect the individual's rank.
All members of the CS community have earned their ranks and positions. As such, one must show the proper respect.
In the instance where issue with an officer arise, don't be stupid and tell them off. Such an action is counter-productive and will only hinder your case. Consult the Mormaer or a Lawspeaker. Your concerns will not be ignored and appropriate action will be taken.
Behavior towards players outside of the CS community.
Members of Clan Sverker are expected to show a professional degree of respect toward players of another faction. Until provoked.
Members or affiliates of allied guilds or communities are to be given the same respect as your fellow Clan Sverker members. Through our common goals, history and friendships our allies are seen as an extension of Clan Sverker and must be treated as we treat our own members and officers. Failure to do so will result in the same punishment given as a breach of rules regarding a CS member or officer.
2. We are a PvP Guild
While we all strive to be the best possible, we will never give up enjoyment in order to do so.
We have been occasionally known to do some PvE content. On the occasion in which this happens, members engaging in PvE content are expected to put that on hold if you're needed or even asked to help reinforce our PvP / RvR groups.
We do not care about how many Dragons you've slain, how many Unicorns you have in your stables, your Raid progression or what guild you're from. If your name tag is red, you're going to be dead.
Leading Clan Sverker Groups
To be able to lead a guild group, one must have obtained full-membership within the CS community. Breaches of this will be swiftly dealt with.
Group leaders must promote calm, unresentful behavior and lead by example.
Using Teamspeak while leading is mandatory for group leaders. However,it is up to the individual leader whether or not they want to require it for the group.
Every Clan Sverker group must use our guild's Teamspeak. Under no circumstance is using another guild's or private Teamspeak acceptable when running a CS group, even for better communication with other guilds. Breaches of this will result in an unquestionable removal of the guild.
Call to Arms
A concept familiar to the majority of those who have experience with RvR. Leadership has the right to issue a community wide Call to Arms in dire circumstances on any game to help reinforce our presence where it is deemed it is needed. This may include to relieve presure off our Allies and their holdings or ours.
The Call to Arms may be mandatory. Mandatory Call to Arms only occur in the most dire of circumstances. So should this occur, those who do not come without a reasonable excuse will be demoted.
3. The Community
Here at Clan Sverker, we are advocates of a return to how gaming communities used to be and reject how modern day guilds and gaming communities have become.
We are known to host PvP events along side of opposing guilds for both fun and for bragging rights.
Our members strive to better our faction's standing on the PvP scene.
Our website is extremely active and filled with discussions ranging from RL, to the best builds, community based polls, recent news, to event sign up sheets.
To obtain certain ranks, website activity is a requirement.
To become a full-member within the CS community, it is a requirement that not only you sign up on the website, but also make an introductory post.
Full-membership offers many perks to those who take the few minutes it takes to do it, such as bank access, the right to lead PvP groups, community-wide events, eligibility for promotions to higher ranks & much more.
Should an issue occur in-game, on the forums, on Teamspeak, etc, full-members are entitled to the rights and full protection of the Founding Ideals.
Clan Sverker is firmly rooted in both Celtic and Scandinavian history and to a minor degree, mythology.
Earning your way.
All members within the Clan Sverker community, earn their ranks. Dedication and effort will be aptly rewarded, while those who expect a lot for little effort will be very disappointed.
Do not join Clan Sverker with the expectation that we'll hand you everything. We'll help you as much as we can, but will not hold your hand. Those expecting hand outs will be very disappointed.
While we are not an RP guild, we do support the mature RP community when it is possible. An appreciation for the game's rich lore should always be supported.
4. Rustic Charm
Clan Sverker fully supports the notion of if you're beardless, you're a woman or at least someone with a respectable job.. We're a community of mostly bearded gamers who want a return to the old days of gaming. We're the kind of people who sit on a frozen lake, drinking our beer, stroking our beards contemplating the meaning of life and how mad we made people during our last event.
Beards, beer, mead and of course the occasional pipe usage are all smiled upon here.
With over 99% of our user base across all games are of drinking age, drinking in TS, is expected and to a certain degree, encouraged. However, only when following our 1st Founding Ideal.
Members who act immature, out of line or simply cannot hold their alcohol will be swiftly removed from TS3 and will be dealt with accordingly. Out of control members or guests are unacceptable and will NOT be tolerated. Every officer rank has the ability to remove or mute troublesome members.
Jorvald is the leader of Clan Sverker. He is a selfless GM who understands the importance of community. Jorvald is always looking for exciting projects for the guild, which led to our recent addition: The Official CS Tartan. Jorvald can be found most days and nights in ESO.
